People have been eating and drinking here for more than a hundred and forty years. And, it seems, there’s no good reason to stop.
We’re in Borgo Grazzano, where the water from the mill stream once powered the silk mills, farmers came into town with whatever they’d gathered from their gardens and, after a day’s work, a glass of wine was often a good idea.
Much has changed since then. Other things, fortunately, haven’t. In the kitchen is Deborah, and before her was her grandmother Elena. In between lie generations, handed-down recipes, dishes forgotten and rediscovered.
